(X-Posted in my LJ)
Today I was washing dishes, and dropped a very heavy clay bowl on my toe. I think its broken! lol... Anyway, I'm going to the doctor for other medical reasons, so I think I'll have him look at my toe to make sure there isn't any too serious of problems. Well.. I found this community and I really like your idea.. it's got an artistic feeling to it with the whole, "photographing your imperfections".. hmm.. I bet you could make a book or something of it. Anyways.. Here's ONE of my imperfections.. lol.
It's a picture of the scar under my chin. I got it when I was 11 or 12 and I flipped over on a railing and cracked my chin open. I also chipped a piece of bone off.. YAY! lol. Current Mood: artistic

Birth mark in my eye!
Hey everybody, I am new here! I saw this community advertised in the community_promo and think this place is a great idea! :DD
To the creator: Owwy bruises!
Ok, well here is a flaw in my body.. I have a birthmark in my eye.. hehe :D
Here it is:
Its the little pink dot on the right side of my iris.
Here is another one.
Hope you all enjoy! hehe
scratch and bleed
One last memory from my kickboxing days... I am not sure the exact details of when this injury occurred; I simply know it was the result of the untrimmed toenails of a female combatant. I should count my blessings it did not become infected.
after a seemingly infinite hiatus
I am back.
The downtime is largely due to the fact that I somewhat unofficially retired from kickboxing when I discovered on April Fool's Day of 2002
that my foot was broken from repeatedly smashing it against other people's elbows. This means I am unlikely to accumulate the cavalcade of bruises and scratches that previously dominated my posts here. Instead, I may be exploring some of the other specified purposes of this community - the documentation of physical flaws.
I guess we will have to see. Regardless, I am debating posting to community_promo
so membership might swell beyond the pittance that currently populates this most catatonic of communities.

On March 15th., 2002, I managed to nearly have my shoulder dislocated, catch a knee to the groin, and smash the edge of my right foot into an opponent's shin not once but twice. The last of these injuries has thus far proved the most intrusive as I am still limping around, unable to place my full weight on my right foot.
I found it exceptionally difficult to photograph the point of injury (the intersection of the cuboid and the metatarsal).
they were all yellow
An update of the bruising on my right bicep. Two days later, it had taken on a decidedly yellow cast.
the pain means it's working
After a rather intensive night of grappling, it felt like the very fabric of my long-sleeved shirt was made of sandpaper and it was abrading the flesh from my bicep. I walked away March 1st., 2002 with, for a change, no serious neck injury, but instead a bloody toenail and some of the worst bicep bruising I have ever seen. Unfortunately, I did not properly light these photographs for maximum contrast.

bruised and battered
These were taken on November 2nd., 2001. My bruises from the prior week had yet to heal when more damage was inflicted upon me, bruises upon bruises. My right bicep was a glorious mass of disturbing colors. I had a lot of trouble capturing them adequately.
And so it begins...
... I started this community for a myriad of reasons which are spelled out in the profile on the user info page. However, I neglected to mention my primary motivation: boredom.
It's the tantalyzing intersection of voyeurism and exhibitionism (like everything else on LJ). So, please, feel free to contribute. For the moment, I will simply be reposting images of my kickboxing injuries that have previously been featured in my own journal. I apologize for the dearth of new photographs, but I am lacking in source material at the moment. Give me time.
Or step up.
